Specification Building SampleThe buildings shall include all primary and secondary structural framing members, connection bolts, covering, doors, windows, skylights, flashing, fasteners, closures, sealant tape, caulking, insulation, and other miscellaneous items as shown or called for in the drawings or specifications, unless specifically excluded in contract.

A complete set of drawings showing anchor bolt settings, sidewall, endwall, roof framing, cross-sections, covering and flashing details will be furnished. These drawings will be stamped by an engineer registered to practice in the state of Texas. A letter of certification will also be provided signed by a registered professional engineer stating that the building design meets the project design criteria and is in accordance with generally accepted engineering practices, upon request.

All structural steel sections and welded plate members shall be designed in accordance with the AISC Specification for Structural Steel Buildings—Allowable Stress Design and Plastic Design. All light gauge cold-formed structural members and exterior covering shall be designed in accordance with the AISI Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members.

All buildings will be designed to meet building design requirements set forth by the version of the International Building Code specified by Royal, unless otherwise specified by the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the design specifications meet the local building code and insurance requirements. Roof live load, collateral load, and wind load will be specified by the customer.

All framing members shall be shop fabricated for field bolted assembly. Field cutting or drilling, when required, shall be clearly noted on the drawings.

Roof covering shall be of 26 Gauge, Acrylic Galvalume Coated Steel Panels, unless otherwise noted. Wall covering shall be of 26 Gauge, Painted Galvalume Coated Steel Panels, unless otherwise noted.

All fasteners for roof covering will have a zinc coated aluminum cast head (ZAC) with a neoprene, sealing washer for weather-tightness. Wall covering fasteners shall have a long life coating along with a neoprene, sealing washer for weather-tightness.

Sealant tape for all roof panel laps shall be 3/8″ in width.

Flashing and trim shall be furnished at the rake, corners, eaves, framed openings, and wherever necessary to provide weather tightness and a finished appearance. Eave gutters shall be provided, unless otherwise noted.

Closure strip shall be provided for eave and rake condition.

Tube sealant shall be provided for eave gutter.

Bare Galvalume Warranty—- 25 year warranty against rupture, structural failure, or perforation. Painted Galvalume Finish Warranty— 40 year warranty against excessive chalking and color change, peeling and cracking. Details of the warranties are available upon written request.

Fiberglass Insulation will have a VRR facing and be 3″ in thickness, with a R-10 Rating, unless otherwise noted.

Specifications do not include any foundation design. The building manufacturer’s standards will be followed, unless otherwise noted above. All material is guaranteed to be as specified. Anchor Bolt Plans and Erection Drawings will be provided. Anchor Bolt Plans will include column reactions.
